Slid out: 31st December 1981, Bedford, England

Born whilst everyone was out getting pissed and celebrating the new year in the modern testament to bad architecture that is Milton Keynes, The Fist started playing the drums when he was 16 with his mates from school - Kevin, Patrick and Dunstan. Raised on a standard diet of Greenday and Nirvana, he quickly got bored and moved on to more challenging horizons (Pantera, Machine Head etc) as well as diversifying into more thought out music like Stevie Ray Vaughan and Jimi Hendrix.

Enjoyed brief success in MK with another band - 1428 (Fred Kreuger's house number), who came third in a band comp at the local roller rink. Joined ex local legends Serotone upon moving to Northampton in 1999, until the band decided to split for musical reasons in 2002.

Met Floyd when he was working with The Fists's old frontman Dave and quickly built a solid rapport built on musical respect, love of Kung-Fu and considerable quantities of cannabis. When Serotone split the gates opened, and he was welcomed into the fleshy fold that is the Unit.
